Solar Cells Hellas Group entered the PV sector dynamically by completing an investment of the order of 100 million Euros in the Industrial Zone of Patras, Greece, for the industrial production of wafers, cells and modules with a total annual capacity of 60MWp.                                                                                                        The Group consists of two production facilities, both located in the Industrial Zone of Patras and founded in 2006. The buildings, covering an area of 14000m2, located on privately owned land of 21700m2 house state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring production of the highest international standards. In full capacity the production lines will employ 242 people.    Apart from production, the Group is also active in providing high quality professional solutions for the realization of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) projects, including technical and financial services, energy saving solutions and design, construction, operation and maintenance of PV plants.                           The continuous technological developments in the PV sector are followed closely by the Group, through strategic co-operations with research centres, universities and other institutes in Greece and abroad, while an in-house research and development (R&D)  department is already in operation.                                                                                 In parallel, through the participation in research projects and the financing of PhD programmes, Solar Cells Hellas Group is always at the leading edge of technology.     Solar Cells Hellas is also investing in its own technology. With five subsidiary companies (Solar Concept, Spes Solaris, Solar Datum, Utilitas Solaris and 4 «Ε» Energiaki) 27MWp of PV plants are in the process of development and installation on privately owned fields in Greece.

        

 

May 2010		Completion of PV ModuleSLT /660P and SLT/L660P Certification:IEC EN61215:2005, ed.2* και 61730:2007 part I & II
August 2009		Successful completion of  certification according to international quality standards, namely ISO 9001:2008, 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001
April 2009		Start of  ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS18001 certification process.
March 2009		Thickness reduction of the products from 240μm to 180μm.
August 2008		Wafer and cell production begins at the facility of Solar Cells Hellas S.A.
June 2008		Delivery completion of the main electromechanical equipment for the factory of Soltech S.A, for capacity expansion to 60 MW.
April 2008		Completion of the building construction of Soltech S.A.
February 2008		Delivery completion of the main electromechanical equipment for the factory of Solar Cells Hellas S.A project.
September  2007		Start of construction in the factory of Soltech S.A.
August 2007		Completion of the building construction of Solar Cells Hellas S.A. at the industrial area of Patras.
May 2007		Start of construction in the factory of Solar Cells Hellas S.A.
December 2006		Foundation of Soltech S.A.
